Trojans draw Red Wing at State Tourney

Pairings have been announced for the State Class AAA girls basketball tournament. 

First round games will be played Wednesday, March 13, at the Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota. Winners will play in the semifinals at the Target Center on Thursday afternoon, with the third place game at 2 p.m. Saturday at Concordia University in St. Paul and the Championship game at 6 p.m. Saturday at Target Center

New Prague drew the No. 4 seed and will face a familiar opponent in Missota Conference rival and No. 5 seed Red Wing. That game will be played at noon on Wednesday. The Wingers defeated New Prague twice during the regular season, 61-51 on January 8 and 57-48 on February 5. 

The coaches voted on seeding and the top five teams were placed in brackets according to seed, with the remaining three teams filling in the remaining spots at random.
