Trojans fall in finale; to face Faribault in 1AAA opener

The New Prague Trojan girls basketball team let a share of the Missota Conference title slip away with a 56-37 loss to Farmington Friday, Feb. 25.

Instead, the Trojans finished the regular season with an 18-8 record, 10-4 in the Missota, where they finished fourth. Farmington, Shakopee and Chanhassen, all Class AAAA schools, finished at 11-3 and tied for the conference title.

New Prague now turns its attention to the Section 1AAA tournament. The Trojans received the No. 1 seed and were scheduled to face No. 8-seed Faribault (2-23) in the first round at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Mar.
