Trojans to go for 20th win Thursday

The New Prague/Montgomery-Lonsdale boys hockey team will attempt to win their 20th game of the season in their regular season finale Thursday, when they travel to Red Wing.

The Trojans set a school record Saturday with their 18th win of the season. The previous record was set in 2004, when the team won 17. They upped their record to 19-5 Tuesday with a 4-3 win over Farmington. Details of that game will be in next week's edition of The Times.

Seeding for the Section 6A tournament will take place this weekend. The Trojans should be one of the top seeds and get a first round bye, meaning they would host a quarterfinal game on Saturday, Feb. 24.

New Prague defeated Hutchinson, Northfield and Mankato East last week.
