Trojans, Kraimer, survive rough start to top Panthers

The Lakeville North Panthers took a 3-0 lead early in the Section 1AAAA second round softball game Thursday, but the New Prague Trojans came back to tie the game and won it with an unearned run in the sixth inning, 4-3.
Kraimer settled down after a rough start to shut the Panthers down the rest of the way, striking out seven.
The No. 1 seed Trojans, ranked No. 7 in the state, will face No. 2 seed Farmington, ranked No. 4, in the winners’ bracket at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 30. The winner advances to the final round on Thursday, June 1, needing one win to claim the section title. The loser plays a second game Tuesday against either Lakeville North or Rochester John Marshall in the loser’s bracket, and the winner of that game would need to win twice on Thursday to earn the Section crown.
