Trojans win MSHSL Clay Target title
The New Prague High School Clay Target team won the Minnesota State High School League State team championship Saturday, June 25.
The Trojans, who placed 10th a year ago, hit 480 of 500 targets during two rounds of shooting at the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake. They finished nine points better than St. Michael-Albertville, which had 471. Bemidji was third at 470.
Team members are, left to right, alternate Kortney Novak, Ben Dietz, Jordan Stocker, Parker Precht, Isaac Simon, Woodrow Glazer and alternate Tyler Bisek.
Three of the Trojan shooters were scheduled to compete in individual competition later on Saturday.
