UPDATED: Accident closes Hwy 13

A two-vehicle injury accident temporarily closed Highway 13 south of Waterville, Thursday morning, Feb. 2, around 10:55 a.m. near 270th Street in Waseca County. 

Dillon Matthew Page, age 20, of Waterville was driving a 2004 Chevy Silverado northbound on Highway 13, attempted to pass a vehicle, and collided with a southbound 2014 Ford Edge driven by Richard Eugene Brossard, age 85, of Waterville. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol’s accident report, Page suffered no injuries. Brossard received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Waseca Hospital. 

The road condition is listed as “dry” at the time of the crash. Both Page and Brossard were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash. No alcohol was involved. 

The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office, Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office and the Waterville Police Department responded. The Waterville Fire Department and Waseca Ambulance assisted.
