Volleyball team tops Irish, Stars

New Prague High School's volleyball team played well in claiming a pair of matches last week, then went 1-1-1 at the Mankato Bend of the River Tournament. The team has a 5-2-1 record on the season.

For the second straight match, the Trojans went five games in defeating a Section 1AAA team. Scores were 25-22, 18-25, 25-21, 18-25, 15-7.

Trojan coach Pauline Mankowski said the team played very well, overall. She singled out senior Jessie Doig. She did an awesome job passing
