William Timmons, 61
William Patrick Timmons, 61, of New Prague, died on Sunday, March 1, 2009, in Maui, Hawaii.
Born June 29, 1947, in Minneapolis, William was a son of Martin John and Helen (Stanger) Timmons. He attended Resurrection School in Minneapolis, St. Thomas Military Academy and the University of Minnesota, receiving a degree in mechanical engineering. He married Carol Mensing on July 17, 1971, at Blue Earth. William worked as a sales engineer for Donaldson Company, Inc., and also worked for Nexen Group Inc. and Horton Inc.
He is survived by his wife; children Michael (Sara) Timmons, New Prague and Angie Timmons, Minneapolis; a brother Lawrence Michael (Patty) Timmons, Bellevue, WA; and a sister Charlotte (Dan) Kerelko, Floodwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Martin John Timmons Jr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, at 10 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Patrick, with Rev. Orlando Tatel officiating.
Interment will be at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in St. Patrick.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague. Memorials are preferred to St. Patrick Church in lieu of flowers.
