Winter Weather Advisory in effect
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11,
According to the NWS, the long duration snowfall event will bring significant accumulations in southern Minnesota. Accumulations are predicted to reach 4 to 8 inches. The advisory is issued for locations generally along and south of Redwood Falls to the Red Wing Line. It includes Interstate 90 in Southern Minnesota. Counties in the advisory include Le Sueur, Rice, Goodhue, Waseca, Steele, and Freeborn.
The NWS cautions drivers of reduced visibilities at times and to plan for difficult driving conditions on snow covered roads.
