Lorraine F. Gregor) Downhour, 87

Lorraine F. (Gregor) Downhour, age 87, of Goodlettsville, TN passed away peacefully on January 31, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life was held on February 9 at Millersville Community Center in Goodlettsville, TN.

Lorraine was born in Faribault, MN to Clara and Bennie Gregor and grew up in Waterville, MN. In 1953 she married Robert “Bob” Downhour of Morristown, MN and had four daughters, Gwenda, Linda, Patty and Charlene. They moved to Goodlettsville, TN in 1965.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Robert Downhour, daughter Patty (Downhour) Shoaf, parents, Clara and Bennie Gregor, and brother Arnold Gregor.

Lorraine is survived by daughters Gwenda Downhour, Linda (Downhour) McMunn, and Charlene (Downhour) Williams, sisters Charlotte (Gregor) Hager and Joan (Gregor) Hermel, brother Ronnie Gregor, and sister-in-law Anne Gregor.

Lorraine was known as “sweet lady” and was loved by all. She saved everything and could fix anything. She was a wife, mother, seamstress, gardener, quilter, and loved to camp and fish. She could catch, filet, and cook fish like no other. She was the beloved matriarch of seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In their golden years, Bob and Lorraine traveled to Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Italy, China, and Russia. She will be missed forever.
