Nona Ose of Waterville entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 25, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family.
Nona was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband Harlan, her son Steven, her three brothers Dean, David and Hal, and her parents. She is lovingly survived by her daughter Susan and son-in-law Bruce Knish, her sisters Garnet (Ron) Swift and Jeanne Hill, as well as her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
Nona’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved her church and her church family dearly, and she lived out her beliefs through kindness, compassion, and devotion. She leaves behind not only a legacy of faith but also one of love - a reminder to nurture the things that truly matter: family, faith, and the beauty in the every day.
She also had a lifelong passion for gardening - her home was always graced with vibrant flowers and plants that reflected the beauty and care she poured into her life. Her garden was a place of peace and pride, much like the life she built for those around her. Nona will be remembered for her kind spirit, her devotion to family, and her steadfast faith. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her love will continue to bloom in the lives of those she has touched.
Funeral service has been set for Friday, August 29 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. A private burial will be held at a later date.
