Just ask the Waterville Indians and the Litchfield Blues, who faced off Sunday, August 17 in the opening round of the Class C State Tournament at Hutchinson.
The Indians allowed only one earned run and took advantage of some timely hitting to edge the Blue, 2-1, in 11 innings.
Dallas McBroom pitched eight outstanding innings, giving up one earned run on seven hits. He struck out seven and walked just one.
Draftee Brandyn Olson of Blue Earth came into the game in the top of the ninth inning and allowed just one hit in three innings, picking up the win in relief.
