Indians win streak reaches 15
The Waterville Indians remain on top of the 13-60 League standings after picking up one league win and a non-league victory last week.
The Indians, winners of 15 straight games, routed Wells, 19-6, Wednesday, June 30 in Waterville.. The following night the Indians defeated New Prague, 7-2, in a non-league game.
Waterville will play this weekend in the Jordan Tournament. The Indians will face Delano at 6 p.m. Friday, July 9. If they win they would play Saturday at 4:45 p.m. against the Sartell vs. Bird Island winner. If they lose they would play at 2:30 p.m. against the loser of the Bird Island vs. Sartell game.
The other teams entered include Jordan vs. Wanamingo (Thursday - 7:30 p.m.), Fairmont vs. Dassel-Cokato (Friday, 8 p.m.), and Bird Island vs. Sartell (Saturday - 10 a.m.)
The consolation championship will be played Sunday, July 11 at 11 a.m., third place at 1:30 p.m., and the championship at 4 p.m.
The Indians had some explosive performances in their win against the Wells Wildcats.
