Kids swing into action
Close to 60 kids participated in the Junior Golf Program at the New Prague Golf Course. The program took place on Wednesdays and Thursdays from June 15 through the 30 with ages ranging from six to 12. Instructors Brooke Bezek and Dan Puls focused on fundamentals, the rules of golf and etiquette.
"At the New Prague Golf Club, we work hard to promote the game of golf with local juniors. Our lessons and league programs begin with creating an atmosphere that promotes both the enjoyment and knowledge of every aspect of the game," said Ken Norland, a PGA professional at the New Prague Golf Course.
Participants in the Junior Golf Program included:
8:30 a.m. class: Henry Geiger, Caroline Geiger, Rose Kamish, Brandon O'Connor, Izak Jirik, Cael Berg, Sami Witt, Sydney Culshaw, Georgia Trygestad, Chase Trygestad and Nick Swanson;
9:30 a.m. class: Kobe Hwong, Chloe Hwong, Mitchel Pomije, Hunter Pomije, Zachary Page, Cameron Nogosek, Coleton Tupy, Judah Lind, Jonah Lind, Cameron Bible, Logan Bible, Ellen Popple and Lydia Popple;
10:30 a.m. class: Anthony Soderlund, Carson Ehrp, Sam Werner, Amelia Ehrp, Daniel King, Chris Trettel, Lindsay Bisek, Justin Loer, Allison Loer, Aiden Hanson and Brendan Pieper;
11:30 a.m. class: Sylvie Tikalsky, Caden Chromy, Tommy Heyer, Mitch Shambour, Will Reiland, Simon Solheid, Noah Solheid, Riley Johnson, Grant Johnson, Skyler Rame, Jon VonBank, Isabelle Buehler, Isaac Buehler, Samantha Fletcher, Ian Hanson and Ryan Lehne.
