The Tri-City United Girls’ Basketball Team beat the Le Sueur-Henderson Giants 62-34 on Thursday, Jan. 10 but lost to the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars 54-76 the following day.

In the game against the Giants in Montgomery, Coach Eric Specht commented that the girls did an excellent job sharing the basketball, ending with six girls who scored at least seven points.

The Titans went into halftime with a ten-point lead that they only grew in the second half. Their coach also pointed out the girls rebounded the basketball very well on both ends of the floor.

Cassie Kadrlik played a solid game, finishing with 10 points, 9 rebounds. Jessica Dull had a great game off the bench finishing with 7 points, 8 rebounds. Keeley Oak did an excellent job sharing the basketball, adding 7 assists.

In their away game against the Cougars, Specht said the Titans did a nice job of mixing up presses, which kept Zumbrota off balance. Unfortunately, he noted, the Titans were not able to take advantage on the offense end.
