Adrienne L. Skluzacek, 87 - Updated

Adrienne L. Skluzacek, age 87, of New Prague, died suddenly but peacefully of natural causes with her family at her side on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Mala Strana Assisted Living.  Adrienne was born on November 15, 1932 in Lonsdale to Art G. and Julia (Voracek) Lexa.  She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School and New Prague High School.  She married Albert J. Skluzacek on January 14, 1950 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lonsdale.  Adrienne was a dedicated homemaker and mother, whose greatest love was her family.  She enjoyed nothing more than time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  In her leisure time, Adrienne enjoyed gardening, fishing, and baking.  A woman of faith, she was active in both Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church after retiring to New Prague.

 Adrienne is survived by her children, Patricia (Eugene) Bauer, Donald (Charlene) Skluzacek, Shirley (Robert) Rasmussen, Theresa Scherkenbach (Ralph Good), Marvin (Laurie) Skluzacek, Mary (John) Rush, Catherine (Mark) Verhoeven; sister, Jeanette Tupy; sister-in-law, Bonnie Lexa; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert on September 13, 2008; her parents; brother, Art Lexa.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father Eugene Theisen officiating.  Mass will be live-streamed on npcatholic.org.  Masks and social distancing required in church.  Burial will follow Mass at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.  bruzekfuneralhome.com
