Archery Club competes at state meet

The New Prague Archery Club wrapped up its season over the weekend participating at the 2019 Minnesota NASP bullseye and 3D state archery tournaments held in Duluth. This year’s tournaments had a total of 1,532 archers from 61 participating schools.

This year’s high school team finished fourth out of 23 teams with a score of 3,353, just missing the podium by 13 points behind Princeton. New Prague’s Breanna Franek was the team’s leader with a score of 288 of 300, which also placed her fourth individually for the high school girl’s division. Other archers scoring for the team included Cara Chadderdon (284), Ashlee Hatlestad (284), Jordan Clay (282), Jacob Love (281), Mackenzie Vlasak (281), Hunter Minor (279), Ryan Wetschka (276), Noel Spence (279), Danny Musil (275), Brooke Nerud (274) and Colin Macris (273).

The high school team also finished fourth in the state 3D tournament with a team score of 1,655. Cara Chadderdon placed fourth in the 3D tournament with a score of 283.
