Tupy, age 86, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Mala Strana Care and Rehabilitation Center.  Arnie was born on October 10, 1933 in Lanesburgh Township, Le Sueur County to Wencel A. “Jim” and Mayme Rose (Turek) Tupy.  He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and graduated from New Prague High School.  After service in the US Army and serving in Korea, he married the love of his life, Jeanette D. E, now Chart Industries.  As if Arnie was not busy enough, he also found time to serve as bartender and security guard for the Park Ballroom.

He was an avid fisherman and card player, enjoying sheephead as recently as last Tuesday.

Arnie is survived by his wife, Jeanette; daughter, Jayne (Paul) Skluzacek of New Prague; grandchildren, Brandon (Brynna) Skluzacek, Jason (Angel) Skluzacek, Miranda, Corinna, and Zachary Tupy; great-grandchildren, Lana, Lexi, Scarlett, Liam, Eli, & Everett Skluzacek and Patrick Tupy; sister, Gladys Zoubek of Faribault.  He is preceded in death by parents; son & daughter-in-law, Dale & Bonnie Tupy; grandson, Nicholas Dale Tupy; brother, Leonard in childhood.
