Carolyn C. Stark, 82

Carolyn C. Stark, age 82, of Shakopee, MN, entered eternal life on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.

Carolyn was born May 5, 1941, along with her twin brother Caroll, in Caribou, Maine, the daughter of Aleck and Minnie (Landean) Zetterman. She was 1 of 10 children, and raised on a farm in New Sweden, Maine.

When she was 18, she went to a dance and it was there that she met her future husband, Leo Stark. Leo was in the Air Force, and they were married February 11, 1961, in Hawaii. As a military wife, they were stationed in many places.

Carolyn was crazy about golf and played a lot at Dahlgreen Golf Club in Chaska. She was also an avid reader and had a wonderful sense of humor. But most of all, she loved her family dearly.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Leo; son and daughters, Terry (Chris), Lori (Tim) Anderson, Janet (Tim) Newman, and Tina Stark (Al "Bubba" Thieman); 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ansel Zetterman, twin - Carroll Zetterman, Madeline (Roy) Dofour, and Marcella Scoville; sister-in-law, Joyce Zetterman. She was preceded in death by her baby granddaughter, Susan Stark; siblings, Clifford Zetterman, Brenda Morin, Gloria (Leo) Leon, Glen Zetterman, and Gordon (Elfrida) Zetterman.

Visitation Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 2-5 PM, at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. East, Shakopee, 952-445-2755. Visitation also Monday, December 11, from 11-11:45 AM, at Church of St. Mark, 350 Atwood St. South, Shakopee; followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Livestream provided by Saints Joachim and Anne. Interment later at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Donations preferred to Pulmonary Fibrosis.
