City council, school board will discuss fitness center proposal
The New Prague City Council and New Prague Area School board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, May 14, to discuss the proposal to move the Fitness Center to the Central Education Campus building, adjacent to the New Prague Aquatic Center.
The proposal would call for the Joint Powers Board that oversees the Aquatic Center to take over operation of the Fitness Center. Representatives from Mayo Clinic Health System, which currently operates the Fitness Center, will also be on hand.
The meeting is part of the school board’s workshop meeting and will be held at the Board room at the Central Education Campus, 410 Central Ave. N. in New Prague.
