Francis "Fran" Vohnoutka, 79
Francis "Fran" Vohnoutka, age 79, of Battle Lake, MN, formerly of Shakopee, passed away unexpectedly in Galveston, TX. on Monday, December 3, 2018.
Fran was born in St. Patrick, MN, on April 25, 1939, the son of Frank and Bessie (Pavlicek) Vohnoutka. He married Kathleen Geis in Shakopee, MN on September 2, 1961. Prior to retirement Fran was employed as a truck driver.
Fran is survived by his wife, Kathleen; son, Mitchell (special friend, Terri Hanson); daughter, Tracy (Jeff) Monnens; grandchildren, Kassie (Jody) Green and Kerry Vohnoutka; brothers, Bob (Dee) and Joe; sisters, Eleanor Jacobs and Rosemary (Ron) Borchardt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bessie; brothers and sisters, Archie, George, Richard, Angie and Marian.
Visitation Friday, December 14, from 10am-1pm followed by Memorial Prayer Service at 1 PM, at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. E., Shakopee, 952-445-2755. Presiding is Reverend Paul Haverstock. Private family interment at a later date.
