Gerald Vincent O’Meara, 85

O’Meara, Gerald Vincent, age 85 of Rosemount passed away December 2, 2020. Preceded in death by his parents Vincent And Mary Adeline (Cashin) O’Meara; siblings, Mary (Dennis) Hagerty, Virginia (Gene) Stoering and James T. O'Meara; sister-in-law Jeanie O’Meara. Survived by his brothers, Leonard (Lavonne) and Patrick O’Meara; sister-in-law, Monica O'Meara. Also, many nieces and nephews and friends.

Jerry was a 1953 graduate from McKinley High School in Le Center, obtained a bachelor’s degree from Mankato State, and a master’s degree from Winona State. Gerald was a counselor at Rosemount High School for 30 years and after retirement, continued to substitute at Rosemount for an additional 20 years.

Jerry enjoyed golf, playing cards, and life in general. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, active in the American Legion and the Lions Club.

Memorial service, 11am Friday, December 11, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church (13900 Biscayne Avenue West, Rosemount, MN).  Memorial visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment: Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
