Kenneth M. Skok, 76

Kenneth M. Skok, age 76, of Kenyon, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 11, 2019, at Allina Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN.  Ken was born on July 22, 1943 in New Prague to Albert J. and Florence M. (Dahlberg) Skok.  He attended New Prague High School and then entered a lifetime of seeing a need and filling it through a lifetime of entrepreneurial endeavors.  He owned and operated many businesses including a truck and trailer rental business in West St. Paul, gas stations, and most recently, home inspections.  He was an innovator in many areas; he also enjoyed renovating old homes and reselling them.  Outgoing and sociable, Ken especially enjoyed his coffee  buddies, going out to eat, and helping out his neighbors.  He loved being at the lake.  Ken loved everything that had to do with cars. His greatest joy was the time spent with his grandsons, attending car shows with them, attending their sporting events, and following the Vikings and hockey.  Family was his life and he will be greatly missed.

Ken is survived by his son, Brian (Deb) Skok of New Prague and their children, Wyatt, Graydon, and Sullivan; daughter, Shanda (Jamie) Bruggeman of Jordan and their children, Brody and Reed;  brother, LeRoy Skok of New Prague; sister, Dorothy Stehlik of Burnsville; brother-in-law, Eugene Vavra of Bloomington.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet Vavra.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 18, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague with Pastor Julie Rogness officiating.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 PM and Monday morning from 7:30 – 10:00.  Burial will occur at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery followed by lunch at the Legion Clubroom. bruzekfuneralhome.com
