Myron J. Eischens, 90

Myron J. Eischens of New Prague, died peacefully at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine on Saturday, March 2, 2019.  He was born March 11, 1928 at the original New Prague Hospital.  He attended the elementary schools in St. Benedict and St. Wenceslaus and graduated from New Prague High School in 1946.  Myron worked for Continental Machine Inc. as a pattern maker for about 25 years prior to farming. Myron waited many years before he met the love of his life and  married Anna Albina Svoboda on May 29, 1974 at St. Patrick of Cedar Lake Catholic Church.  From that day on, they would do everything together.  Myron was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was an excellent baseball player for many years at St. Benedict and also for Jordan and Union Hill.  Fishing and playing cards rounded out his favorite leisure activities.

 Myron is survived by his twin sister, Marian Grosz, and sisters, Aurea (Albert) Zweber, Arlene Dagnualt, Alda (Don) Cosgrove, Karen Feldten; brother, Gordon (Marge) Eischens; sister-in-law, Verna Eischens; numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna (Svoboda); parents, Adam and Ruth Eischens; sisters, Genevieve Eilen, Berneva Nelson, Elaine Eischens; brothers, Leonard and Harold Eischens; brothers-in-law, Donald Nelson, Alphonse Eilen, Edward Grosz, Henry Dagnault, Percy Feldten.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick of Cedar Lake Church with Father Allan Eilen and Father Michael Miller officiating.  Visitation will take place at church from 9:00 – 10:30 AM.  Lunch will follow Mass at the St. Patrick church social hall.  Burial will occur at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Veseli.  bruzekfuneralhome.com
