Nathan Enge earns rank of Eagle Scout

Nathan Enge of Elko New Market’s Boy Scout Troop 325 was recognized for earning the rank of Eagle Scout during his December 13, 2018 Eagle Scout Court of Honor at the New Prague Fire Station.

Nathan is the son of Troy and Joy Enge and is a senior at New Prague High School and is attending Postsecondary Enrollment Options through Crown College.

Nathan said while researching a meaningful Eagle Scout project, he came across Hope Academy, a Christian non-profit K-12 school in Minneapolis. “I felt like the school’s mission statement aligned with my beliefs, that all children have the right to a private Christian education and that God can bring hope and aspiration to these children from difficult backgrounds,” he said. “I contacted a representative of the school to see if there was anything I could do for them. They requested benches and picnic tables for their playground areas. This would allow students who wanted to stay inside to read and draw, a place to do these activities outdoors.”
