Scott - Braith

Alexa Barta of New Prague, daughter of Keith and DeLynn Barta of New Prague, and Leonid Scott of Boston, MA, son of Elena Machkasova of Moscow, Russia, announce their engagement.

Alexa is a 2014 graduate of New Prague High School and a 2018 graduate of the University of Minnesota- Morris, with B.A. degrees in Spanish and Statistics, a minor in Mathematics, with Honors. Starting February 2019, she will spend nine months as a U.S. Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Cornelio Procopio, Brazil.

Leonid is a 2015 graduate of Morris Area High School in Morris. He is currently in his final semester at the University of Minnesota-Morris, with an expected graduation in May 2019. He is studying Computer Science and Mathematics.

A February 29, 2020 wedding will be held at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church in rural New Prague.
