Bucs place 6th in State Softball

The WEM softball team finished out a record-breaking season with a 6th place finish in the 2019 Class A State Tournament Friday, June 7 at Caswell Park in North Mankato. The Bucs finished the season 23-2. They were defeated in the opening round by Badger-Greenbush/Middle River, 4-2. In the consolation semifinals, junior Trista Hering pitched the fourth perfect game in State Tourney history, blanking South Ridge, 11-0 in five innings. In the consolation championship game Friday morning, New Ulm Cathedral defeated WEM, 8-2. For more on the State Tourney, check out the June 1`3 edition of the Life/Enterprise.
