Margaret "Muff" Burke-Lundell, 87

Margaret passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020, in her Minneapolis home at the age of 87 with her loving family at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry in 2007 and her son, Keith in 2004.

Margaret was the daughter of Marion and Eva (Hagel) Burke, born and raised in Waterville and graduated from the Waterville school system. She was a dedicated class reunion attendee at her reunions and so enjoyed getting together with her classmates/ friends.

After high school, she attended college in Mankato and then moved to Cannon Falls where she taught school until 1971. Margaret and Jerry then became Lundell’s Bus and Taxi Service owners in Slayton from 1971 to 1986. They moved to Minneapolis in 1986 and Margaret cleaned for a church with a preschool even up until July of 2019!

She loved children and was especially proud of her grandchildren and twin great-granddaughters. She is survived by her daughter Karen (David) Rice of Chanhassen; grandchildren Jacqui (Jay) Zarth of Burnsville and Jon Rice of Omaha as well as her great grandchildren, Alaina and Bria Zarth of Burnsville. She also is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were held in Minneapolis.
