Elizabeth Glisczinski

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Glisczinski on July 26, 2025, in Issaquah, Washington.

Born on December 22, 1967, in New Prague, Minnesota, Beth was a graduate of New Prague High School, then proceeded to earn a degree in Psychology/Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota, followed by a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Northern Arizona University.  Her dedication to mental health and underserved populations was of vital importance to Beth, and she never wavered in her commitment to her career—whether she was a parenting coach, a therapist in private practice or administering substance abuse treatment services—Beth saw all of her roles as furthering the health of our society.

In 2009, Beth walked into the Sapphire Hotel in Portland, Oregon, and met the love her life, Dean Kattari.  The strength of their love affair never faltered, and Beth considered this relationship to be the greatest gift of her life.  Married in 2012, Beth and Dean resided up and down the West Coast of the United States, settling in Issaquah, Washington, on the flank of Tiger Mountain for the last several years.  They loved to travel and had many glorious adventures in their years together, enjoying scenery, culture, food, and wine wherever they went. Beth was a voracious reader, an excellent cook, and took a keen interest in plants and gardening.  She attended every performance of Dean’s bands—he’s a gifted guitarist—that she could.

In 2019, Beth was diagnosed with a very rare cancer, Adrenocortical Carcinoma.  This cancer took her life after a 6-year battle.

Beth is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Virginia (Brown) Glisczinski as well as her sister, Judith Glisczinski.  She is survived by her husband and two siblings, Thomas Glisczinski  of Eden Prairie, MN, and Mary Jean Halloran of Belle Plaine, MN, and a vast network of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Private memorials will be forthcoming.
