Georgieann Elizabeth Havlicek (Entinger) passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 91, surrounded by her family during her final days. Georgieann was born on 12/27/1933, in Carver County, MN, to Peter and Celia (Huss) Entinger and grew up on their family farm near New Prague, MN.
On October 16, 1954, Georgieann was united in marriage with Frances Havlicek at St. John’s Catholic Church in Union Hill, MN. The couple moved to St. Paul, MN, where they raised their 5 children.
She spent a lot of time with her children and grandchildren. She volunteered at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and was a member of a quilting group sewing blankets for the homeless. She also volunteered at the VFW in Inver Grove Heights.
Georgieann is survived by her 5 children: Sharon (Tim) Havlicek of Fate, TX, Orlando (Mary Jo) Havlicek of Eagan, Maynard (Kathy) Havlicek of Vadnais Heights, Rodney Havlicek of Woodbury, Todd (Shannon) Havlicek of Hudson, WI, sister, Joanne (Jim) Gensch and brothers Larry (Marion) Entinger and Peter (John) Entinger. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Celia (Huss) Entinger, brothers Donald (Bernice) Entinger, Paul Entinger, sisters Patsy (Henry) Prchal and Roselma (Eugene) Soller, niece Joyce (Prchal) Hrdlichka and nephew Marty Gensch.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Union Hill, MN, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Father Eugene Theisen.
A lunch will be held at the KC Hall in New Prague immediately following the service. A private burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights at a later date.
