Thomas M. Steiner, 69

Thomas M. Steiner, 69, born August 23, 1953, of Lonsdale passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 after a courageous 20 month battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer.
After graduating from Jordan High School in 1971, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1975. In 1980, he met the love of his life Donna Oldenburg, and married in 1985, going on to have 2 children, Stacy and Brandon.
He worked at Wausau as a locksmith for 17 years. After retiring, Tom spent most of his time at Fish Lake, where he had a seasonal spot. He enjoyed sitting in his chair in the sun, drinking his bloody marys and beer. He was known for his stealth like ability of sneaking off, which was later known as the Stimey Slide. As a lifetime fan, he loved to hate the Vikings. He was the best pfeiffer player in the world, just ask him! He loved hosting poker nights. He was an avid fan of NASCAR. He spent a lot of time with his kids, grandkids and some of his close friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Warren, his brother Scott and baby Steiner. He is survived by his children, Stacy (Joe) Dornfeld of Elko, Bud (Amanda) Steiner of Lonsdale and 5 grandchildren, Mason (15), Vaida (8), Evelyn (7), Vincent (5), Ella (4), sisters Cheryl (Everett) and Dia (Tim), and sister-in-law Trudie (Scott).
We’ll only have 2. The first one and the last one!
We love you Dad!
A Celebration of life will be held on May 12, 2023 at the American Legion of Lonsdale from 4-8 pm.
