William (Bill) Chandler Sensibaugh, 86

William (Bill) Chandler Sensibaugh, age 86, of Shakopee, MN, passed away on August 22, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Society in Waconia, MN.

All services will be held at Church of St. Mark, 350 Atwood Street South, Shakopee, MN: Visitation Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 9-11 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.. Interment Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee, with full military honors provided by the Shakopee Veterans Honor Guard.

William was born on June 23, 1939, in Montgomery, MN, to Gerald and Bessie Sensibaugh. William attended St. Wenceslaus School through 8th grade and then New Prague High School in New Prague, MN. He played on the High School football team and graduated in 1957 from New Prague.

William joined the Marine Corp on May 10, 1958, until March 21, 1962, as a Lance Cpl.

Bill married Dorothy Wagner on May 18, 1963, in Cannon Falls, MN. Together they had 3 children Paula, Mike and Brian.

He went to work for Control Data in April, 1962, which was later merged with Seagate, as a Senior Electrical Engineer. Bill made many trips to Germany, England, France and many other places while working for Control Data. He retired in April 2000.

Bill and Dorothy lived in various places including Richfield, Faribault and finally purchased a home in Shakopee, MN, where they raised their family.

Bill enjoyed hunting with his sons and year-round fishing with the entire family. He cherished his time at his cabin in Brainerd, MN, where he could relax and fish as much as he wished. Bill also enjoyed the many fishing trips the family took to Canada and northern MN. He also joined a bowling team with his co-workers from Control Data.

Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Sensibaugh; children, Paula (Jeff) Smith, Mike Sensibaugh, and Brian Sensibaugh; grandchildren, Amber Sensibaugh, Jessica (Tyler) LaMott, and Cody (Sam Quandt) Sensibaugh; great-grandchildren, Raelyn and Dakota LaMott, Ellie and Easton Sensibaugh; sibling, Carol Hanek as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Bessie Sensibaugh; and brother-in-law, Robert Hanek.
