Bullhead Days 2025
Outstanding weather, great events, huge crowds highlight weekend festival
Thousands of bullheads (13,000+) were served, the rain and clouds stayed away, the temperatures were perfect, queens were crowned, the carnival returned, and fun was had by all.
The 2025 Waterville Bullhead Days Celebration held June 6 through June 8, was considered by many as one of the best in the 60-year history of the festival.
One of the highlight events of the weekend was the Friday night crowning of Miss Waterville and Junior Miss Waterville.
Kayla Bronk, daughter of Bill and Lily Bronk, was crowned Miss Waterville 2025. Her attendants are Abby Crosby, daughter of Curt Crosby and Nikki Crosby, Alenka Jans, daughter of Andy and Anne Jans, and Jaelyn Wilmes, daughter of Melissa Buske and Gerard Wilmes.
Astrid Hanson, daughter of Jeremy and Anna Hanson was named Junior Miss Waterville. Her attendants are Ella Ferch, daughter of Brad and Heather Ferch and Emma Mead, daughter of Mike and Jessica Mead.
The Friday night Classic Car Roll-In filled up a couple of blocks on Paquin Street. More than four dozen vintage vehicles were being shown off by their owners.
More than 60 people attended the dedication of the Adolph Dehn Mural, which is located on the east side of the WEM Elementary School in Waterville facing Highway 13.
The Lions Club Fireworks Display continues its excellence, with nearly 20 minutes of oohs and aahs from those watching the show over the bay. The fireworks could be seen as far away at William J. Grose baseball field following a 3-1 Indians win over Lake Crystal.
