Carolyn “Tulla” Bess Stordahl, 79

Carolyn “Tulla” Bess Stordahl, 79, of Grand Forks, ND, and longtime resident of Grafton, ND, and Elysian, MN, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, October 18, 2024, at Maple View Memory Care in Grand Forks.

Carolyn was born on May 24, 1945, to Hans & Agnes Stordahl. She grew up on a farm north of East Grand Forks and graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High. She furthered her education at St. Michael’s Hospital studying as an X-ray technician. She worked professionally in orthopedics for many years under Dr. Culmer of Grand Forks, ND. She also spent time working in hospitals in Grafton, ND, and St. Peter, MN. Carolyn enjoyed her work, gardening, baking, walking, helping others and spending time with her family and everyone at Maple View who she considered to be her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harvey, Rodney “Hans”, and Rodger; and sisters, Sherry Stordahl and Harriet Anderson.

Tulla is survived by sisters-in-law, Gayle Stordahl and Bobbi Stordahl; nieces & nephews, Brian Anderson, Renae Halvorson, Julie Dickhudt, Karen Stordahl-Gregory, Kenley Stordahl, Kristi Erickson, Hans Stordahl, Jason Stordahl, Justin Stordahl, and Jon Stordahl; and her many beloved great-nieces & great-nephews, Jay Halvorson, Ross Halvorson, Cory Halvorson, Sarah Dickhudt, Matthew Dickhudt, Jessica Dickhudt, Abbey Dickhudt, Samantha Dickhudt, Angela Dickhudt, Seth Stordahl, Sarah Stordahl, Casey Erickson, Cole Erickson, Chase Stordahl, and Blake Stordahl.

The Celebration of Carolyn's Life will be Monday, October 28, 2024, at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the East Grand Forks American Legion. Service will be live-streamed on Tulla’s page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com.

Memorials may be given in memory of Carolyn to an organization or charity of your choice or to Maple View Memory Care of Grand Forks.
