Indians, Morries start Region 6C Tourney Sunday

The Waterville Indians and Morristown Morries amateur baseball teams will begin their quests to make a repeat appearance in the Class C State Tournament this weekend. After finishing up an abbreviated 13-60 League schedule, the two teams will open Region 6C Playoff action Sunday, August 2. Waterville, the No. 3 seed from the 13-60 League, will host Arlington, the No. 7 seed from the River Valley League. Game time in Waterville will be 2 p.m. Morristown, the No. 7 seed, will play at No. 2 seed Minnesota Lake at 6 p.m. Sunday. Minn. Lake edged the Morries, 1-0, last weekend. Games for both teams will continue of Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9 if still alive in the double elimination bracket.
