Marlys Joan (Wisen) Krueger, 89

Marlys Joan (Wisen) Krueger, age 89, of Waterville, Minnesota died Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Lakeshore Rehabilitation Center in Waseca.
Marlys was born on July 13, 1934, in Faribault, Minnesota, a daughter of the late Wilford and Evelyn (Stoos) Wisen. She attended school and graduated from high school in Medford, Minnesota. On July 26, 1958, she married Donald George “Willie” Krueger at the Methodist Church in Faribault. Together they made their home north of Waterville where they would farm for the rest of their lives before Don’s passing on January 19, 2017. Marlys was a great cook with a wonderful sense of humor. She was very well liked and loved talking with people and making new friends. She was very well loved by the staff and residents during her time at Lakeshore. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville.
Marlys is survived by her two sons, Rick (Marsha) Krueger of Ortonville, and Randy Krueger of Waterville; three grandchildren, Randi Jo, Ryan, and Reesie Krueger; two sisters, Doris Mestad of Faribault, and Phyllis Wisen of Eagle Lake. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
In honoring her wishes, she will be cremated. Private family interment will be held at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville. Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.
