Rodney James Wehr, 46

Rodney James Wehr, the son of Merle and Arlene (Drinken) Wehr, was born on December 29, 1974 in Waseca, Minnesota. He died Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his home in Swea City at the age of 46 years.
A Celebration of Rod’s Life will be held on March 20, 2021 at the Swea City Fire Hall from 3-6pm.
Rod worked for Brand FX in Swea City for 9 years, and recently for Aluma Trailers in Bancroft as a welder.
In his free time, he enjoyed working on cars, smoking meat, making jerky and beef sticks, watching the Vikings and listening to music. Rod was on the Swea City Fire and Rescue Department, the Swea City Ambulance crew as a driver and on the Swea City city council.
He is survived by his mother, Arlene Wehr; his sons, Tylor Wehr and Cody (fiancée Kira Bock) Wehr; his girlfriend Tonja Cook; her children Kyler Morehouse and Trevor Bakke and their grandchildren, Brooklyn and Bentley; his siblings, Larry (Rose) Wehr, Harry (Ellen) Wehr, Dennis (Sue) Wehr, Terry (Debbie) Wehr, Deb (Dick) Bergquist, Jeff Wehr, and Timothy Wehr; as well as many other extended family and friends.
Rod is preceded in death by his father, Merle Wehr, sister Cherrylyn Wehr-Tuttle, brother Mark Wehr, a niece Dawn Wehr and other extended family
