Betty Lou Hammargren

Betty Lou Hammargren died peacefully at Carondelet Village in St. Paul on October 20, 2024. She was born in Kilkenny, Minnesota, on December 17, 1926. She attended St. Canice Catholic Grade School, Montgomery High School and was a graduate of St. Catherine's University.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Hammargren and two sisters Lucille (Joseph) Doffing and Majorie Hammargren. Betty Lou was a Third Order Carmelite and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary John Balfe Post 380, as well as many other organizations. She is survived by her niece Mary Beth (Dennis) Babinski of Cottage Grove, a nephew Jerry Doffing of Burnsville, one grand-nephew and 3 grand-nieces.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 25, at Carondelet Village Chapel, 525 Fairview Avenue South, St. Paul, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in Kilkenny, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Carondelet Village.
