Alois James Prochaska, 86

Alois James Prochaska, 86, of Heidelberg, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Oak Terrace in Jordan. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Heidelberg, with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be in St. Scholastica Cemetery in Heidelberg. Military Honors will be provided by the Montgomery area Honor Guard.

Alois was born on October 19, 1932, in Heidelberg to Louis and Amelia (Ademmer) Prochaska. He was a graduate from St. Raphael School in Montgomery, and Montgomery High School.

Alois farmed many years throughout the late 1960’s, owned the White Front Bar in Montgomery, drove Redimix truck in Savage, and retired from CertainTeed in Shakopee. Alois served in the United States Army from 1950-1952.

He was united in marriage to Margie Kilduff on October 8, 1955, in St. Thomas Catholic Church in St. Thomas. He was a member of the Montgomery American Legion Post 79 and enjoyed fishing, hunting with sons and friends, Viking football, watching all sports, horse racing, and traveling.

Alois is survived by children, Paula (Greg) Hoy of Keller, TX, Patty (Bruce) Boe of Plymouth, Terry Prochaska of Shakopee, and Tim (Pam) Prochaska of Red Wing; grandchildren, Michael (Whitney) Hoy, Sarah Hoy, Baxter (Rachel) Boe, Taylor Boe, Christina Boe, Kaylie Prochaska, Will Prochaska, Morgan Prochaska, and Rachel Prochaska; great-grandson, Duncan Hoy; siblings, Bernice Erb of Lakeville, and Betty Fischer of Bloomington.

Alois is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Prochaska; parents; siblings, Mickey Brundage, Evelyn Warren, and Connie Burgess.
