Alvin "Al" Edward Peroutka, 78
Alvin "Al" Edward Peroutka, 78 of Livingston, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023 after a valiant battle with cancer. Al was born on November 1, 1944 to Edward and Evelyn Peroutka (Tuma) in New Prague, Minnesota. After leaving home he worked for Kimmat Mink farm, Hruby Implement, John Deere, started a small mechanic shop, while in Minnesota. He then moved to Nebraska and was Maintenance Manager that worked on the equipment for the City of York, until moving to Texas and opening his own construction company, Al's Construction.
Al is survived by his children, Cheri Whitmore and husband, Steve, of Lake Crystal, Minnesota; Christin Peroutka and special friend, Kelly Steinbeck, of Hartley, lowa and son, Gregg Peroutka of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; brother Richard Peroutka of Montgomery, Minnesota; Sharon Kodada and special friend, Brad Meyer, of New Prague, Minnesota; Milton Peroutka and wife Melanie of Faribault, Minnesota; and Ron Peroutka and special friend, Ann Chromy, of Montgomery, Minnesota. Al will be lovingly remembered by his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loved ones and friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Evelyn Peroutka (Tuma), his daughter, Carmen Peroutka, his sister, Kathy Peroutka and a sister-in-law, Kathy Peroutka.
His battle with cancer in his recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the obstacles, Al came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. He truly will be missed - Gone but not forgotten.
A Memorial Visitation will be Friday, May 5th from 6-8 pm at Cochran Funeral of Onalaska, Texas.
