Delores ‘Dee’ Sande, 88

Delores M. Sande, age 88 of Faribault, died on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault.

Funeral services will be held at First English Lutheran Church, Faribault on Friday, May 10, 2019, at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Janet White officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be at the church for one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Delores Marcella, the daughter of William and Rose (Velishek) Fried, was born May 12, 1930 in Lanesburgh Township, Le Sueur County and attended Montgomery High School. Delores married Paul Sande on May 9, 1947, at St. John Lutheran Church, Montgomery.

She was previously employed with the Faribault Regional Center until her retirement in 1989. Dee and Paul also owned and operated Cellar Antiques in Faribault for many years. She was past president of Jack Armstrong Women’s Relief Corp, Austin, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Faribault and taught Sunday school at First English Lutheran Church.

She is survived by three children, Dr. Douglas (and Barb) Sande of Clear Lake, IA, Colleen (and Kevin) Knutson of Faribault and Todd Sande of Lakeville; eight grandchildren, Shay Sande, Josh (and Amy) Hager, Jake Hager, Kaity and Kenzie Knutson, Shane Sande, Kacey Sande and Troy (and Kim) Sande; four great grandchildren, Kody King, Aubrey Sande, Bentley and Wesley Sande; a brother, William (and Valerie) Freid of St. Paul and sister in law, Mary Freid of Eden Prairie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; and two brothers, Roger and Roy.
