Merry Christmas to the Sembauers!

Jack Sembauer, 14, and his mom, Wendy Sembauer of Montgomery, found the 2018 Torchlight Parade and Fireworks medallion on the north side of the fire hall on a piece of wood under a downspout.

"I think it was the third clue that led us there. It said something about being between Fifth Street and the highway," Jack said of their Saturday, December 15 search. "We were only there looking for five or ten minutes before I found it."

After picking up the metal circle, Jack ran around the building to where his mom was searching. "I couldn't believe it at first, I just remember saying, 'We found it!'," he laughed. "It was the first place we looked."

The Tri-City United High School freshman received $100 in Monty Bucks and a commemorative medallion for finding the medallion.

"It was just luck that I found it," he commented casually. "I'll probably give it (the Monty Bucks) to my mom since she helped me with it."
