Montgomery-area winter storm updates

SCHOOLS
- Tri-City United Schools are closed and activities are cancelled through Thursday evening.
- Most Holy Redeemer School in Montgomery will be closed and students doing remote learning Wednesday and Thursday.
SNOW EMERGENCIES
- Snow emergency declared in Montgomery until Noon on Friday.
- Snow emergency declared in Lonsdale until plowed curb-to-curb starting at 2 a.m. on Thursday. Snow emergency likely again Friday.
- Le Center automatically plows at one-inch and requires vehicles off of streets until plowed curb-to-curb.
CHURCHES
- Trondhjem Lutheran Church in Lonsdale has cancelled all services and activities Wednesday and Thursday.
- St. John's Lutheran Church in Montgomery will have no church service or activities Wednesday and Thursday.
OTHER CLOSURES & INFORMATION
- Rice County snow plows are running a limited schedule from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. only.
- Waste Management services are delayed. Resident pick-ups for Wednesday will be done Friday and Thursday pick-ups will be done Saturday, pending no further changes due to weather.
- Mackenthun's Fine Foods in Montgomery and Lonsdale have adjusted store hours Wednesday and Thursday and are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Montgomery Historical Society Show & Tell Meeting Thursday is cancelled.
