Robotics teams make it to eliminations

Two TCU High School Robotics teams and five TCU Middle School Robotics teams competed at the Titans’ home tournament on Saturday, Jan. 14. A total of 45 teams competed in the tournament.

In the high school division, TCU’s teams Gear Train and Barbie Bots made it to the eliminations round. Gear Train earned a ranking of 25th (3-4-0). Barbie Bots team was ranked 30th (3-4-0).

In the middle school division, TCU’s teams Mr. Roboto Coco III, Golden Engineers, and Team Kool made it to the eliminations round. Mr. Roboto Coco III ranked 15th (4-3-0). Golden Engineers Ranked 22nd (3-4-0). Team Kool ranked 35th (2-5-0). Team Acid Reign ranked 33rd (3-4-0). Rocky Robot ranked 42nd (1-6-0).

“All of the students had a fun time and were in high spirits throughout the tournament, even if students didn't place as high in the rankings as they had wished,” stated TCU Robotics Advisor Luke Fleck.

The next Robotics competition for TCU will be on February 11.
