TCU competes at National Trap Shooting Tournament
Members of the Tri-City United Trap Shooting Team competed in the National Trap Shooting Tournament in Mason, MI last weekend.
According to the National Championship website, usactgo. com, the TCU Squad 1, made up of Preston Anderson, Caleb Cihak, Jonathan Hurd, Gabe Robinson, and Turner Staupe, placed 42nd.
The second squad, which included Lukas Dietz, Wyatt Hurd, Wyley Petersen, Stuart Schatz and Andrew Trnka, placed 45th out of 207 teams.
Roseau High School placed first, followed by Calhoun High School from Illinois. Alden-Conger High School’s Squad 1 finished third.
Among the 1,800 other registered competitors, Trnka took 76th overall, and Wyatt Hurd finished in 104th place. Jonathan Hurd finished in 114th, and Dietz was not far behind in 117th place. Petersen ended in 132nd overall.
Woodrow Glazer from New Prague High School took home the National Championship title for the second year in a row. Glazer shot a perfect 200×200 over the course of the individual Championship.
