Torchlight Parade and Fireworks light up Montgomery
The Montgomery Torchlight Parade and Fireworks festival signified for the 27th year in a row that the holiday season is well underway.
Bundled for mild, pre-winter temperatures, crowds celebrated the season as they watched close to 50 Christmas-decorated floats roll down First Street.
Among the floats, one at the beginning held the junior grand marshals Cameron DeJoy and Vanessa Alaya Sanchez of TCU Montgomery, and Corinne Skluzacek, of TCU Lonsdale, who designed the commemorative button. They rode on a float specially designed by the Torchlight Parade and Fireworks Committee.
The festival ended with a fireworks show, put on again by RES Specialty Pyrotechics out of Belle Plaine.
