Carol Jean Freid, 67 - UPDATED
UPDATED to include information on Celebration of Life
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 27 for Carol Freid, who passed away February 28, 2020. A visitation will be held at the Montgomery American Legion from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. A service will be held at 3 p.m. Lunch will follow.
Carol Jean Freid, age 67, of Montgomery, died February 28, 2020. Celebration of Life will be held at the Montgomery Legion Club on March 22, 2020. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the service following at 1 p.m., also at the Legion. Lunch will follow the service.
Carol was born on September 3, 1952 in New Prague to Paul Sr. and Bessie (Javurek) Freid.
Carol taught English at Waterville-Elysian-Morristown High School for 36 years. She retired in 2011.
She was president of the Montgomery Legion Auxiliary. She was a member on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board in Montgomery and the Friends of the Library. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross Blood Drives.
Carol is survived by her siblings, Shirley Jeno, Robert Freid, Don (Pat) Freid, David (Nancy) Freid; sisters-in-law Mary Kay Freid, and Roseanne Freid. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Carol is proceeded in death by her parents, Paul Sr. and Bessie Freid; brothers, Harry Freid and Paul Jr. Freid; sister, Ellen Dudley; brothers-in-law, Fred Jeno Jr. and Jerry Dudley; and sister-in-law Mary Freid.
In lieu of flowers, Carol would like donations made to the Friends of the Library in Montgomery.
