Sheryl “Sheri” Skluzacek

Sheryl “Sheri” Skluzacek of Lonsdale passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on December 12. Sheri was born on March 5, 1966, in New Prague to Donald and Grace (Sevcik) Sticha. Sheri was married 37 years to Vernon Skluzacek and together they shared a life with 3 children and 7 grandchildren with another one on the way. Sheri was a Rural Carrier in Lonsdale for 15+ years and enjoyed many activities.

One would always find Sheri’s house decorated with the most beautiful flowers as she had a knack for gardening. She enjoyed going to the State Fair yearly and rooting for her favorite team, the Vikings. In her down time, she was curled up reading a book or watching scary movies. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sheri is preceded in death by her mother, Grace Sticha. She is survived by her loving husband, Vernon; children, Kurtis (Heather), DJ (Becky), and Krista (Micah) Andros; grandchildren, Jacksen, Kennedy, Isaac, Harrison, Norah, Owen, Isla, and Baby Andros; father, Don Sticha, sisters, Sandi (Lyle) Skluzacek, Shelli (Mark) Salaba, and Stephi (Ted) Gaul, also by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lonsdale, with a visitation on Tuesday, December 19 from 4-7 p.m. at the White Funeral Home in Lonsdale and also one hour prior to Mass.
