Julia J. Schoenbauer Krautkremer, age 95, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center.  Julie was born on December 12, 1922 in Mahnomen, MN to James J. and Mary (Stolka) Jirik.  She attended Mahnomen Country School and married Alfred S. Schoenbauer on November 21, 1944 in Mahnomen.  The couple lived in St. Paul for the first years of their marriage and moved to New Prague in 1963.  After Alfred’s death in 1974, Julia married Omer A. Leonard A. Shimota, Age 91 of Hugo passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 18th.
Len was an accomplished artist and musician. After serving our country in the Korean War, he came back to work as a designer at Dayton’s for almost 40 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna and his brother, Wilbert. Len is survived by his wife, Rita; children Lindsay (Don) Sovil, Jenny (Brad Bohlmann), Jon, Patrick; and granddaughter, Casey Sovil.

Vickie L. Vycital, age 71 of Elko, died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.  Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating.  Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, November 26 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, and will continue one hour prior to service time at the church on Tuesday.  Interment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Helen G. Hoheisel, age 89, of New Prague died with family at her side on Sunday November 18, 2018, at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague, MN.  Helen was born August 3, 1929 in Buckman, Minnesota to John A. and Loretta M. Anna A. Eischens, age 86, of Belle Plaine, died with her husband at her side on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, MN.  Anna was born October 16, 1932 in Cedar Lake Township, Scott County, MN to Louis J. and Anna Rose (Dvorak) Svoboda.  She was raised, attended school, and lived her whole life in the St. Patrick/New Prague area.  She married Myron J. Eischens on May 29, 1974 at St.

On Monday, November 12, 2018, Deborah Ann Forkins, age 70, passed away peacefully, at her home in Savage, MN, in the presence of her family.
A time of gathering of will be on Friday, November 16, from 4-7 pm, at Ballard-Sunder Funeral and Cremation, 4565 Pleasant Street SE, Prior Lake and one hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 17, at 11 am, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 16311 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake. Robert E. Barta, age 69, of Prior Lake, died suddenly after complications of heart surgery at Fairview Southdale Hospital.  Bob was born on June 11, 1949 in St. Paul.  He grew up in Columbia Heights, graduated from high school there, and went on to attend Mankato State University.

Early Saturday morning of November 10, 2018, Helen “Rose” Hadac, 86, passed away peacefully, at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN.  She was a resident of Prior Lake, MN.

Michael “Mick” Milinkovich, passed away at the age of 76 on October 26, 2018at Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth, MN.
Mick graduated from New Prague High School in 1960. While in school Mick participated in drama and was a multi-sport athlete. Mick enjoyed a good lifetime of sharing laughter, and stories with his high school friends. These friends regularly visited Mick during his days at the nursing life.
A special thanks to the staff at Mission Nursing home, who cared for Mick with compassion for over 12 years until the end of his life.

RoseMary Nash, age 86 of Minneapolis, passed away on November 6, 2018. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael R. “Bob”; brothers-in-law, John, Jim, Woody Enger, Frank Leon, Ken Gerdes, and Ron Aase; and son-in-law, Chris Boemer.

Adeline Flicek Kennedy, 91, passed away in Port Angeles, Washington on October 16, 2018.  She was born May 27, 1927 in Wheatland Township, Minnesota, the only daughter of John C Flicek and Elizabeth Dvorak.  She married Vincent Kennedy in 1946 in New Prague, Minnesota. 

Elmer William Sticha, 88, of Montgomery, passed away at Pleasant Manor in Faribault on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 9, at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery, with visitation two hours prior also at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery. Father George Grafsky will be officiating.
 

Lucille M. Steinmetz passed away peacefully, fully surrounded by her family at The Lodge Elko/New Market on Friday, November 2nd, 2018 at the age of 91.

Ronald L. Giesen, age 59, of New Prague, died suddenly with his family at his side on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System – St. Mary’s Hospital Campus in Rochester.  Ron was born the ninth of eleven children on January 14, 1959 in New Prague to William F. and Helen M.

Delphine Marie Odette, age 87, of Farmington Minnesota, passed away Sunday October 28, 2018.

Josephine M. Deutsch, age 95 of Jordan, passed away on October 27, 2018. A visitation will be held on November 1, 2018 from 4-7PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Jordan. Mass of Christian Burial will be on November 2, 2018 at 11AM with a visitation 1-hour prior at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Jordan. Josephine will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Jordan. Her grandsons will act as pallbearers.
