Margaret “Peg” Olsem, age 55 of Westbrook, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 15 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Westbrook. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday AT THE CHURCH. Paul "Lumpy" Lambrecht, of Belle Plaine, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 8, 2018 at the age of 53.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM and again on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 9:00 - 10:15 AM.  Both will be held at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (104 First Street West) in Jordan.

Lindsey Marie Durdahl, age 30.Lindsey passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 25, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Preceded in death by her grandfathers John Oniskin and Charles Durdahl; aunt Cathy Nash; uncle Danny Smith.  Survived by her father Bill Durdahl (Laurie Sue), mother Amy Oniskin, sister Haley Durdahl, grandmothers Alice Oniskin and Ardis Durdahl, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Shirley A. Scherz, age 82, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague.  Shirley was born on January 6, 1936 in the Hiller farmhouse near Weaver Lake to Donald W. and Lillian M. (Rice) Hiller.  She graduated from Anoka High School.  Following high school, she went to Minnesota School of Business to learn shorthand.  She worked many jobs but most notably, worked her way up to being a Manager for Tupperware Direct Sales Marketing.  She married M.

Matthew “Mike” J. Tikalsky, age 87 of New Prague, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on September 7, 2018. Mike proudly served his country in the US Army and was a member of the Lonsdale American Legion. Mike owned and operated the Tikalsky Store in Lonsdale before his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Adeline (Svoboda) Tikalsky; siblings, Joseph Jr., and Adeline (Leo) Malecha, also brother-in-law, Eugene Dwyer.

Leslie Kyle Thill, age 86, of Jordan, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living after a strong, patient, stubborn and hard-fought battle with multiple health complications: heart damage from sepsis; chronic lymphocytic leukemia; and esophageal cancer.  Born on September 22, 1931 in Chetek, WI, the son of Edward Francis and Bessie Ruth (nee: Lyon) Thill.  Les graduated from Chetek High School in 1949 and proudly served in the United States Army from 1949 to 1952, where he met Maria in Paris, France.  Even before Les asked Maria to marry him, and because he wante

Gerald (Jerry) Norbert Machacek, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning September 6, 2018, at Prairie Meadows Assisted living in Kasson. 

Ricky Fehler, age 59, of New Prague, died peacefully after an extended illness on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Methodist Hospital.  Ricky was born on October 31, 1958 to Robert and Diana (Zick) Fehler in St. Paul.  He was raised in the Apple Valley area and graduated from Rosemount High School.  Ricky worked as a heavy equipment operator and was now retired.  He was a member of IUOE Local 49.  In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and tractors and farming with his dad on the family farm in Jordan.

Marla Ann Reichow, 63, of rural Garretson passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.
Private family services will be held.
Marla Ann Reichow was born on April 10, 1955. She grew up on a small farm outside of Watertown, MN along with her parents and 4 siblings (Rita, Janice, Kevin, Gary) She spent her childhood exploring the pastures and playing with her pets. She loved horses and said one of the best days of her life was when her dad brought home her first saddle which was accompanied by her first horse.

Dale William Benson passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the age of 59. Dale was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 15, 1959.  
Dale was born to parents Elinore (Lynn) and William (Bill) Benson. He married Vicki Benson on August 11, 1979. They have two children: Son, Kaleb (Cassie) Benson and granddaughter, Kendra Benson; daughter, Krystle (Shawn) Bloch and grandsons, Viktor, Thor, and granddaughter, Vivian. Dale and Vicki lived in Montgomery, MN until Dale was diagnosed with cancer.  After that time they moved to the hunting shack in McGrath, MN.

Joseph Smisek, age 70 of Northfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at the Church of St. Dominic in Northfield.  Visitation will be at the church beginning at 9:00AM.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Helen Keogh, 89, of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. 
 
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery from 9 to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Richard L. Deutsch, age 86, of New Prague, died peacefully, in the presence of his loving family on Monday, August 27, 2018 at his home.  Richard was born on May 17, 1932 in Helena Township, Scott County to John and Marie “Mary” (Wampach) Deutsch.  He attended St. Benedict Parochial School and graduated from New Prague High School.  He was drafted into the US Army and served in the Korean War and was one of six who typed up the armistice agreement for the end of the war.  Richard married Phyllis M. Glisczinski on October 13, 1962 at St.

Kubes, Joseph John, age 78 of Webster, passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2018 of natural causes.  Survived by his wife, Emma; children, Laura (Bob) Smisek, Joe (Karen), John, and Jeff (Carrie); grandchildren, Anna, Bobby, Joey (Joy), Kaylee, Jeffrey, and Angie; siblings, Nancy (Joe) Trnka, Bob (Betty), and Roger (Joy); also by other loving relatives and friends. Viola Mae Wondra, 90, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. 
 
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Schoenbauer Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with visitation one hour prior at the church. Father Victor Valencia will be officiating. Interment will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Duban, Thomas G., age 87 of Lonsdale passed away August 22, 2018. Preceded in death by his wife, Martha (nee Svoboda); grandson, Darrin; sisters, Martha Tupy and Rose Peterson; brother-in-law, Al Swedin. 
Survived by his children, Leonard (Sharon), Wallace (Linda), Renee (Dale) Detlie, Dennis (Ann), Denise (Dan) Nelson, Charles, Edward, and Patricia (David) Houseworth; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Ann (Richard) Langeslag, Robert (Sylvia), David (Bonnie), and Juanita Swedin; also by loving nieces and nephews.
